Yes, 100% free. The OpenClaw installer, software, and all features are free forever. We offer an optional Setup Guide ($5) with screenshots and video walkthroughs if you want extra help, but it's not required.

Do I need to install WSL2 myself? +

No! The installer detects whether WSL2 is installed and sets it up automatically if needed. You may need to restart your computer once during this process — the installer will tell you.

Is my data private? +
